DFA reports 11 new COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad
MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Foreign Affairs tallied 11 new cases of COVID-19 among Filipinos living abroad, the department reported on its official Twitter account on Wednesday (Dec. 2).
The DFA also reported six cases of recoveries of Filipinos in Asia and Europe.
According to the DFA’s latest tally, a total of 82 countries and territories had Filipinos infected with SARS Cov2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
Among Filipinos abroad, 11,719 had COVID-19. At least 3,327 are being treated, 7,545 have already recovered and 847 died.
The DFA said it and its foreign service posts “remain fully committed to monitoring and assisting our nationals abroad amid this ongoing battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.”
