MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) denied that it collects a “travel exemption fee” or any kind of fee for the purpose of allowing foreigners to enter the country and entry restrictions remain in place.
The DFA said foreigners should consult with Philippines embassies abroad on whether they may enter the country.
Only Filipinos and their families, under specific categories, are allowed. Officials of foreign governments and international organizations and their dependents, foreign airline crew, foreign seafarers with visas, and long-term visa holders may also enter.
