300 Filipinos return from Lebanon

MANILA, Philippines — More than 300 Filipinos returned home from Lebanon on Saturday via a special chartered flight arranged by the Philippine government.

President Rodrigo Duterte himself ordered the mission to bring the Filipinos home from Beirut, according to Malacañang.

It was the fifth chartered repatriation flight from Lebanon since June 2020. There have been 2,596 Filipinos repatriated from Lebanon since December 2019.
