Locsin: No help for Pinoy drug dealers jailed in Middle East

MANILA, Philippines — Foreign Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. on Friday said he would oppose efforts to pardon Filipino drug dealers convicted in the Middle East.

“I won’t allow the pardon of convicted drug dealers in the Middle East. My orders to my ambassadors there is exclude drug dealers from prisoner exchanges. You destroy my people I will let the law abroad destroy you,” Locsin said in a Twitter post.

Asked by netizens the reason for his opposition, he replied, “I smell a local connection to the drug trade. Sorry. No mercy.”
