MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported Monday a new case of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) among Filipinos abroad.
The new case — recorded from a country in the Asia Pacific Region — brings the total coronavirus infections among overseas Filipinos to 10,070.
Of this number, 3,188 are undergoing treatment, while 6,127 have recovered, or have been discharged.
Meanwhile, the death toll among Filipinos abroad stays at 755 as no new fatalities were recorded for the second straight day.

According to the DFA, there are 6,968 COVID-19 infected Filipinos in the Middle East and Africa; 1,165 in Europe; 1,142 in the Asia Pacific region; and, 795 infected in the Americas.
Over 25 million people worldwide have so far been infected with COVID-19.
In the Philippines, there are currently 220,819 confirmed coronavirus infections as of Monday, of which, 157,562 have recovered while 3,558 died.
