26 more Filipinos overseas recover from COVID-19, says DFA

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Sunday reported 26 new recoveries among Filipinos overseas with one additional case of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The total number of COVID-19 cases tallied among Filipinos abroad is 9,984 while the number of recoveries is at 5,953.

No new fatalities were reported, hence the number of deaths remain at 733.

DFA said 3,928 Filipinos overseas are still undergoing treatment — 369 in the Asia Pacific, 445 in Europe, 2,324 in the Middle East and Africa, and 160 in the Americas.

The Philippines, meanwhile, has so far recorded 189,601 COVID-19 cases, with 2,998 deaths, 131,367 recoveries and 55,236 active cases.
