Chinese nabbed with P222-M shabu

MANILA, Philippines—A Chinese national was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation Tuesday night in Sta. Cruz, Manila, police said.

The suspect, identified as William Dee a.k.a. Ian Chao Qui, was arrested for possessing 44.5 kilograms of white crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu” and one kilogram of marijuana, said Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr., Philippine National Police spokesman.

The street value of seized drugs was estimated at P222 million, National Capital Region Police Office spokesman Senior Superintendent Dionardo Carlos told INQUIRER.net.
