57 more OFWs die of COVID-19, mostly in Middle East
MANILA, Philippines — Fifty-seven more overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), mostly in the Middle East, have succumbed to the new coronavirus disease as of Monday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported.
This brings to 466 the number of COVID-19 fatalities out of the 6,074 confirmed cases among Filipinos abroad.
According to the DFA, 207 Filipinos have died of the severe respiratory ailment in the Middle East/Africa, 164 in the Americas, 93 in Europe and two in the Asia-Pacific.
