29 new COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad recorded; tally now at 5,430

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported 29 new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases among Filipinos abroad, bringing the total to 5,430.

Of these cases, figures released by the DFA showed that 2,702 Filipinos are still undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, 2,346 have recovered or been discharged from the hospital, including 51 new recoveries. There are 382 deaths so far.

In the Philippines, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has exceeded 23,000.

Over 1,027 have died while 4,895 have so far recovered.
