40 Pinoys infected with COVID-19 die in Dubai

MANILA, Philippines — About 40 Filipinos in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, have died from the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Philippine consul general said on Friday.

“Last week, almost 40 of our fellow countrymen have, sadly, died due to COVID-19,” said Consul General Paul Raymund Cortes.

In an earlier briefing on May 8, the diplomat said 23 Filipinos had died of the disease.
