MANILA, Philippines — Charge d’ Affaires in Sweden Raul Dado on Thursday reported that no Filipinos in the Scandinavian nation have been infected by the novel coronavirus.
“So far walang may sakit and that’s a very positive thing. Ang mga kababayan natin safe sila and we’re monitoring their situation,” Dado said in a televised public briefing.
He added that they are set to repatriate four Filipino health care workers next week.
“We are asking anyone through social media and through our contacts dito sa Sweden na pag meron silang problema sa mga clinics or unsafe places ipasabi sa amin para matulungan natin,” the diplomat said.
According to the Johns Hopkins University and Medicine Coronavirus Resource Center, there are 31,523 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sweden, including 4,971 recoveries and 3,831 deaths.
