MANILA, Philippines — For two days now, no Filipino overseas was reported to have succumbed to the severe respiratory ailment COVID-19, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported Friday.
The latest data released by DFA, however, showed that nine more Filipinos abroad tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, bringing the total to 2,331 as of May 15.
Of the count, DFA said 1,273 patients are still undergoing treatment while 15 new recoveries boosted the tally of recovered Filipinos overseas stricken with the virus to 789.

In the Philippines, there are so far 12,091 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 2,460 recoveries and 806 deaths.
