MANILA, Philippines — Ten more Filipinos abroad have tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2, the virus which causes the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), while three new fatalities have been reported, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.
Data released by the DFA on Sunday showed that a total of 1,751 overseas Filipinos have so far contracted the coronavirus disease across 46 countries or regions.
Of these cases, 210 deaths have been reported, including three new fatalities from the Americas and Europe.
The other 1,070 are still undergoing treatment while 471 have recovered.

In the Philippines, health officials have so far confirmed 9,223 COVID-19 cases in the country.
Of the number, 1,214 have recovered while 607 have died.
According to the DFA, more than 17, 500 seafarers and at least 7,400 land-based overseas Filipino workers have been brought home since repatriation efforts by the government began in February amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
