DFA data released Thursday, also revealed that two more Filipinos abroad died of the highly contagious severe respiratory ailment. The death toll is at 201 as of April 30.
DFA said 1,025 of the total infected Filipinos overseas are still undergoing treatment while 451 have already recovered.
“The (World Health Organization) Situation Report as of yesterday (April 28), records Europe and Americas, both home to most of our OFWs, as the two regions with the highest total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases across the globe,” DFA noted.

In the Philippines, coronavirus infection has increased to 8,488 as of April 30. This number includes 1,043 recoveries and 568 deaths.
