Filipinos evacuated from Cambodia, Vietnam

MANILA, Philippines — Filipinos from Cambodia and Vietnam were repatriated on Saturday amid the coronavirus disease, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.

A total of 143 distressed Filipinos from Vietnam arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) through a chartered flight at 4:51 p.m.

Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs Sarah Lou Arriola said the repatriated were subjected to health protocols of the Bureau of Quarantine.

Over 167 distressed Filipino workers from Cambodia also returned to the Philippines through an AirAsia flight at the NAIA at 3:27 p.m.
