MANILA, Philippines — An additional 31 Filipinos overseas were found positive for the new virus SARS-CoV-2, bringing the total count to 868, the Department of Foreign Affairs said Saturday.
The latest cases were from the United States, Europe, and Asia and the Pacific, DFA added.
Also, DFA said it documented nine new COVID-19-related deaths of overseas Filipinos with the death toll now reaching 115.
Meanwhile, DFA reminded Filipinos abroad who wish to be repatriated to the Philippines to coordinate with the nearest Philippine Embassy in their respective areas.
“We reiterate that those who wish to return to the Philippines in this time of pandemic should coordinate with the nearest Philippine Embassy or Consulate,” DFA said in a statement.
