Data released by the DFA on Friday showed that the total number of COVID-19 cases among overseas Filipinos is now at 837.
Of the total cases, eight new recoveries have been reported bringing the number of Filipino patients abroad who recovered from the disease to 248.
Meanwhile, 483 are still undergoing treatment.
The DFA has so far recorded 106 deaths, including three new fatalities from the Americas and the Middle East.
“The DFA, together with its Foreign Service Posts (FSPs), continues to rally the support and cooperation of our people in adhering to the preventive measures and restrictions imposed by different local health authorities and agencies, and remains dedicated in providing assistance to the COVID-19 positive Filipino nationals as needed,” the department said.
It also advised overseas Filipinos who wish to be repatriated should immediately coordinate with the nearest Philippine embassy or consulate.
