The Philippine consulate general in Hong Kong has confirmed that three more Filipinos have tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing to 16 the number of Filipinos afflicted with the disease.

The consulate said information came from the Hong Kong health department.

The COVID-19-positive patients are now undergoing treatment in various hospitals in the territory.

Citing the recent surge in COVID-19 cases in Hong Kong, the consulate has renewed its appeal to the Filipino community “to stay at home whenever possible and, if there is a need to go out, to make sure to avoid crowded places and practice social distancing.”
