Third Filipino maid in HK tests positive for coronavirus

Another Filipino domestic helper in Hong Kong was hospitalized after testing positive for the new coronavirus disease a day after another domestic helper recovered and was discharged. The Filipino domestic helper is currently confined at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sha Tin, New Territories. She arrived from the Philippines via Taipei, Taiwan, on March 11, and developed COVID-19 symptoms two days later. The Philippine consulate general said it was assisting health authorities in tracing people who the domestic helper came in contact with. The consulate said it was extending assistance to two domestic helpers who had tested positive and the one already discharged. —Jerome Aning
