Detained Bahrain OFW’s family receives assistance

MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte, along with Sen. Bong Go and Special Envoy to the Gulf Cooperation Council Amable Aguiluz V recently met with the family of an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) detained in Bahrain.

The President, according to a Palace statement Friday, met with the family of Roderick Aguinaldo on Thursday prior to his engagement in Leyte.

The Palace added that Go and  Aguiluz extended financial assistance to Aguinaldo’s family.

Aguiluz also provided scholarship grants to Aguinaldo’s three children.
