Aquino delays trip to Bali for Asean summit

MANILA, Philippines–President Aquino has delayed for one day his departure for Bali, Indonesia amidst the ongoing clash between the palace and the Supreme Court over former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s bid to go abroad for treatment.

The Palace announced on Wednesday that President Aquino will fly to Bali on Thursday morning to attend the Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit.

Mr. Aquino was previously scheduled to leave at 3 p.m. Wednesday after meeting with visiting US State Secretary Hilary Clinton.
