PH ready to repatriate Filipinos in UAE

MANILA, Philippines — Filipinos in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) who wish to be repatriated or seek any assistance are advised to contact the embassy and consulate amid escalating tension in the Middle East.

In an advisory, the Philippine Embassy in the UAE said Filipinos in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi who need assistance may contact the following:

“Filipinos are advised to remain vigilant, exercise caution, and maintain situational awareness at all times,” the embassy said.

Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III on Wednesday said Labor Undersecretary Claro Arellano to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) next week.

Meanwhile, Overseas Workers Welfare Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac will be sent to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait as Philippine Overseas Employment Administrator Bernard Olalia will be sent to Lebanon.
