This is what transpired on the morning of December 19, just a week before Christmas. To bring some holiday cheer, representatives from Medicard Philippines roamed the metro in a white van to give out umbrellas to our traffic enforcers.
Traffic in Manila is inevitable, more so during the holiday rush, and particularly around shopping malls that become extra crowded. Despite the carmaggedon, there are still people who are doing their best, patiently easing traffic for us to reach our destinations as conveniently as possible. Some thought we were selling umbrellas so we would say, no, it’s a gift. Merry Christmas.
“Wow, thank you. Merry Christmas also,” they replied. Medicard Philippines has always valued and appreciated the hard work of every Filipino worker who helps us build a healthier, better community.
