Fresh from new appointment to OWWA, Mocha Uson joins Duterte in Russia trip

MOSCOW —  In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the controversial pro-Duterte blogger shared a photo of herself standing outside a Philippine Airlines aircraft which carried Duterte and members of his official delegation.

“Kalalapag lang po dito sa Moscow!” she said in her post.

Duterte and his delegation landed in Moscow at 3:25 a.m. (8:25 a.m. Manila time) to embark on his second official visit to Russia.

Uson, who resigned as Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) assistant secretary in 2018, was appointed by Duterte as deputy administrator of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).

A migrants’ group, however, slammed Uson’s appointment and said that her  involvement in the controversial rescue of Filipino migrant workers in Kuwait last year made her unfit for her new post.  /muf
