Singapore’s 1st female president to visit PH Sept. 8-12

MANILA, Philippines — Singapore President Halimah Yacob will visit the country from Sept. 8 to 12 upon President Rodrigo Duterte’s invitation, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.

The President and Halimah will hold a bilateral meeting on Sept. 9 to discuss areas of mutual interest and to further bilateral political, economic, cultural, and people-to-people engagement, the DFA added. —Jerome Aning
