Heart attack kills Swede in Lucena City hotel

LUCENA City—A Swedish national died of heart attack at a local hotel here on Saturday.

Dan Olof Jansson, 51, of Vanderbyvagen, Ingaro, Sweden, who was temporarily residing in Oriental Mindoro, was about to enter the Diamond Hotel and Resort in the outskirts of this city, together with his Filipino wife, Theresa Jansson, and friends May Lila and Pagbilao policewoman Aileen Palma, at about 5 p.m. when he complained of chest pain, said Senior Police Officer 1 Aldrin Andres, officer on case.

The foreigner was rushed to the nearby MMG Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician and was pronounced to have died of heart failure, said Andres.
