Filipino whiz kids capture 37 medals in international math, English contests

MANILA, Philippines  – Filipino mathematics geniuses and English aces captured 37 medals from two international competitions recently in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Mathematics Development Academy of the Philippines said the Philippine team won four gold, six silver and eight bronze medals at the 13th Asian Finals of the World-Math Fusion from July 26 to 28.

Meantime, the Filipino delegation to the 10th Global Finals of SPEAK International Competition bagged six gold, eight silver and five bronze medals.
