MANILA, Philippines — How did the 47 member states of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) vote in the resolution which called on the human rights body to look into the human rights situation in the Philippines?
The resolution submitted by Iceland last July 4 to the UNHRC sought for a “comprehensive written report” on the human rights situation in the Philippines.
The resolution was adopted with a vote 18 affirmative votes, 14 negative votes, and 15 abstain votes.
