Drunk American falls from escalator in Makati mall

MANILA, Philippines—A drunk American man was injured after falling from an escalator in a mall in Makati City early Friday, police said.

Robert Tipton Egulf, 48, from 5928 29^th Terrace North Saint Petersburg, Florida, fell from the escalator of Greenbelt 4 at around 2 a.m., Makati City Police chief Superintendent Jaime Santos said.

Santos said that Egulf was immediately taken to the Makati Medical Center for treatment. But his injuries could not be fully ascertained as the victim remained asleep due to drunkenness.
