The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh said authorities in Saudi Arabia are expected to issue the approval in the coming days following the conclusion of its investigation into the stabbing incident.
Further, DFA said authorities will soon receive the report of the autopsy of the victim on Thursday.
Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Adnan Alonto said the suspect is in “serious but stable condition” at the National Guard Hospital in Riyadh.
The suspect sustained injuries after jumping from the third floor of the apartment building where he and the victim were residing.
Alonto also called on Filipinos in Saudi Arabia to stop spreading “speculative and unverified information” about the incident. /jpv
