MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Tuesday asked the Filipino community in Tripoli, Libya to be vigilant following a suicide bombing there.
DFA said Filipinos must “avoid unnecessary movement” after suicide bombers attacked the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, killing three people and injuring 10 others.

Philippine Ambassador to Libya Mardomel Melicor reported to DFA that three suicide bombers were involved in the incident that occurred on Christmas Day at 10:30 a.m. (4:30 p.m. in Philippine time).
Melicor said there were no Filipinos casualties in the incident but advised more than 2,000 Filipinos in Libya to “restrict their movement and stay indoors.” /atm
