Filipina worker dies after jumping off employer’s residence in Kuwait

A Filipina worker in Kuwait died after reportedly jumping from her employer’s residence on Tuesday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.

The DFA in a statement on Wednesday said the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait is coordinating closely with authorities there who are investigating the death of the household service worker. The DFA did not name the Filipina worker in its statement.

According to Chargé d’Affaires Noordin Lomondot, the worker reportedly jumped from the third floor of her employer’s residence in Sabahiya. 

The DFA assured the family of the Filipina worker that it will provide assistance in the repatriation of her remains. /kga
