Vice President Leni Robredo is set to leave the country on Wednesday to speak at the Asia Pacific Summit 2018 to be held in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The Office of the Vice President said Robredo was invited to give the keynote speech for the December 1 event. She will join other government officials and leaders, experts, business executives, and civil society leaders from various countries at the summit’s welcome banquet.
The summit’s topics will revolve on issues such as challenges faced by countries, interdependence, mutual prosperity, universal values, climate change concerns and good governance.
It is organized by the Universal Peace Federation, the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace, in partnership with the Government of Nepal, the Federal Parliament of Nepal, and the International Conference of the Asian Political Parties.
Robredo is set to fly back to the country on Sunday. /muf
