An overseas Filipino worker (OFW) fell to her death in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) last week, the Department of Foreign Affairs said Monday.
The DFA did not name the OFW but said the 22-year-old woman died after falling from the third floor of a building last Nov. 23 in the Emirate of Ajman.
She was declared dead on arrival at the Sheikh Khalifa Hospital.
The DFA said the consulate general was in contact with the deceased’s relatives and was closely coordinating with the authorities in Ajman in the investigation of the OFW’s death and the repatriation of her remains.
“The Consulate General is in touch with the relatives of the deceased and is closely coordinating with Ajman authorities in the investigation of her death and in the repatriation of her remains,” the DFA said in a statement. /cbb
