Overseas Filipino worker (OFW) Jennifer Dalquez, who was released from prison in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Thursday, is now on her way home, an official of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.
In a Twitter post early Friday, DFA Acting Assistant Secretary Elmer Cato said Dalquez has already boarded her flight home.
After spending almost four years in a #UAE prison, acquitted #Filipina murder suspect Jennifer Dalquez finally boarded her flight to freedom but she did not leave without thanking the #Philippines Government for successfully getting her out of death row. @DFAPHL @teddyboylocsin pic.twitter.com/Vf7YVV4Zui

Dalquez was sentenced to death in 2015 after she was found guilty of killing her employer. Last year, she was acquitted without diyyah or payment of blood money. /muf
