The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta reported to the DFA that the earthquake was also felt in Lombok and Bali just hours after President Rodrigo Duterte visited Denpasar, Bali for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) Leaders Gathering.

Leehiong Wee, Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia, said Duterte and his delegation, including Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano, were safe.

Wee added that the 201 Filipinos in East Java and 56 in Bali were also unharmed. /ee
