The assurance, the DFA said in a statement, was conveyed to Consul General Ma. Elena Algabre of the Philippine Embassy in Oslo by Swedish prosecutor Malin Kühn during a meeting in Stockholm on Wednesday.
“We thank our Swedish friends for their assurances that our kababayan Mailyn and her family will obtain justice,” Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano said.
“This assurance means so much not only to the loved ones Mailyn left behind but to all Filipinos who are mourning with them,” he added.
