The Embassy of the United States and its affiliated offices will be closed to the public on Monday, October 8.
The closure is due to the observance of Columbus Day, an American holiday, according to an embassy statement Thursday.
The Embassy and associated offices will be open again on Tuesday, October 9.
Columbus Day commemorates the arrival of Christopher Columbus in the New World in October 1492. /cbb
