PAL cancels flights between Japan, PH

Philippine Airlines (PAL) advised its passengers on Monday that some of its flights to or from Japan had either been canceled or delayed.

PAL said the cancelation and delay of flights were due to Typhoon “Jebi,” which is threatening to hit Japan.

“We are seeking the understanding of our passengers as we make the necessary adjustments on our flight schedules in view of the weather situation in Japan,” PAL said

The airline company said the following flights were canceled for Monday and Tuesday.

Canceled flights for Sept. 3, Monday 

PR 408 Manila – Kansai

PR 438 Manila – Nagoya

Passengers of the affected flights will be accommodated the following day on the same flight number and time of departures.

Canceled flights for Sept. 4, Tuesday

PR407 Kansai – Manila

PR437 Nagoya – Manila

PR896 Taipei – Kansai

PR897 Kansai-Taipei

Passengers of flights PR407 and 437 shall be accommodated on September 5, Wednesday, with the same flight schedule and number.

Meanwhile, passengers of PR896 and 897 shall be “reprotected” via replacement flights PR5896 and 5897 respectively.

PR 5896 will depart Japan on Tuesday at 9 p.m. while 5897 will depart on Wednesday at 1:40 a.m.

The airline company added that passengers of the affected flights will also be notified for the next available flights via email or text.

Meanwhile, PAL announced the new flight schedules of four of its international flights for Tuesday
