The Asean Children’s Forum is the only platform at Asean level for children to gather and provide opportunities to give their thoughts on issues that affect and have an interest in their lives today.

The forum is also aimed at promoting friendship and mutual respect between cultures in children and enhancing their ability to become future leaders.

The forum will focus on four major issues – cybersecurity and delinquency; respect all including people with different abilities, senior citizens and racial and cultural diversity; environmental care; and a healthy lifestyle in terms of physical and mental health.

The forum will start with an official opening ceremony on August 6 by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports while the plenary session will begin after the official opening ceremony.

A number of tour activities will also be organised throughout the forum.

The forum will present results of the plenary session discussed by participants.

The forum is facilitated with the cooperation of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports as well as non-governmental associations such as Persatuan Kemajuan Insan (KESAN) which is the main facilitator, the Association of Southeast Asian Youth Ship (BERSATU) and Creativate Kids Brunei.
