NBI arrests 31 Chinese nationals tagged in illegal gambling

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) operatives have arrested 31 Chinese nationals in Muntinlupa City who are believed to be engaged in cybercrime activities.

In a statement on Thursday, the NBI said the 31 foreigners were charged with illegal gambling before the Muntinlupa City Prosecutor’s Office.

They were arrested during a raid in Ayala Alabang Village, Muntinlupa City on Wednesday, July 25, where the suspects’ electronic devices such as computers and mobile phones were seized.

The NBI said the raid was conducted upon issuance of a search warrant by the Muntinlupa City Regional Trial Court Branch 203. Carol Balita, INQUIRER.net intern/je
