Plane makes emergency landing at Yangon airport due to ill Filipino passenger
NAYPYITAW — A passenger plane from Saudi Arabia made an emergency landing at Yangon International Airport on the night of July 22 due to a medical emergency, according to Department for Civil Aviation (DCA).
“The plane was flying from Manila to Medina International Airport and asked for permission to land at Yangon International Airport as a 75 year old woman from Philippines was having difficulties breathing. The plane landed at the airport and the patient was rushed to Parami Hospital with her companion, a 60 year old man,” said Deputy Director General Ye Htut Aung from the DCA.
The plane fuelled up at the airport and left early morning of July 23.
