Duterte lands in Seoul Sunday for 3-day visit

SEOUL, South Korea — President Rodrigo Duterte and his party arrived here in the early hours of Sunday for a three-day official visit.

The President took a commercial Philippine Airlines flight that arrived in Incheon Airport at 4:57 am (3:57 am in Manila).

His party included presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol, Press Secretary Martin Andanar, Science and Technology Secretary Fortunato de la Peña, Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon Lopez and Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go.

Duterte’s sole event today is his meeting with the Filipino community at the Grand Hilton hotel and convention center here at 4 pm (3 pm in Manila).

On Monday, he will hold two meetings with South Korean President Moon Jae-in at the Blue House, the executive office and residence of the South Korean leader. /cbb
