“We join the people of Indonesia in mourning those who lost their lives in the terrorist bombings of several churches in Surabaya this morning,” Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter S. Cayetano said in a statement.
“The Philippines strongly condemns these criminal acts that were carried out against innocent churchgoers,” Cayetano added.
The attacks came as the Southeast Asian country begins the holy fasting month of Ramadan this week. /ee
