Fil-Am theater designer Clint Ramos nominated for another Tony award
Filipino talent is yet again proving to be world-class as Fil-Am Tony Award-winning set and costume designer Clint Ramos vies for another Tony award.
The competition will be for Broadway musical “Once On This Island” top-billed by the country’s Tony winner Lea Salonga. The play is also vying for yet another Tony award for outstanding revival of a musical.
Fellow qualifiers for the category are Gregg Barnes of “Mean Girls,” Ann Roth of “Carousel,” and David Zinn of “Sponge Bob Square Pants.”
The Cebu native won a Tony award in 2016 on top of many other awards and recognitions under his belt.
According to his website, Ramos is the first person of color to receive a Tony Award for Best Costume Design of a Play.
