Tax cases filed vs Subic firms

OLONGAPO CITY — Four locators at Subic Freeport, an accountant and a bookkeeper were charged on Friday with tax violations, including fraud, by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).

Charged with failing to file tax returns were Ellick BPO Solutions Inc., DCB Trading Inc., Crown Peak Estate Developers Inc. and Matrix Mobile Inc.

Lawyer Deogracias Villar Jr., head of the BIR revenue district office here, said Ellick failed to file 93 tax returns from November 2011 to November 2016.

He said DCB failed to file 26 tax returns from December 2011 to December 2013, while Crown Peak failed to file 58 tax returns from June 2008 to December 2015.

Matrix failed to file 33 tax returns from March 2012 to June 2016.

The charges were filed at the office of the Olongapo prosecutor.

The BIR charged Edgar Picache, an accountant, with failing to file tax return for 2011 and 53 monthly tax returns from September 2008 to May 2017.

Also charged was bookkeeper Pearlie Pantaleon. —Allan Macatuno
