Foreign Secretary Alan Cayetano will visit China again after nine months to continue discussions with Beijing on proposals for joint exploration in the Philippines’ exclusive economic zone in the West Philippine Sea.
Cayetano announced the trip on Tuesday saying Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi invited him to a four-day visit from March 21 to 24.
The last time Cayetano was in China was in June last year, his first official trip as foreign secretary.
Cayetano said aside from collaboration in the West Philippine Sea, agriculture, infrastructure and counterterrorism were also on the agenda.
Cayetano had just returned on Monday from a two-day visit in Sydney. —Dona Z. Pazzibugan
