TUGUEGARAO CITY — The family of Arlene Castillo-Manzano, a migrant worker who was murdered in Kuwait on Jan. 18, demanded justice for her as she was buried at Aparri town, in Cagayan province on Saturday.
Manzano was one of seven domestic workers killed in Kuwait that prompted President Rodrigo Duterte to ban deployment of Filipino workers to that country.
Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III said the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration had suspended the processing and issuance of overseas employment certificates to all Kuwait-bound workers while these deaths remain unresolved. —Villamor Visayas Jr.
