Flights to Japan, Taiwan cancelled Sunday

Several international flights to or from Japan and Taiwan were cancelled Sunday due to Supertyphoon “Lan” (local name Typhoon “Paolo”), the Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa) announced.

Paolo exited the Philippine area of responsibility Sunday morning as it headed towards Japan.

The following Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific flights between Japan and Manila and Cebu, and Taiwan to Manila were cancelled:

  1. PR 408 Manila – Kansai, Japan
    *Affected passengers will be accommodated on replacement flight PR5408 Manila-Kansai Oct. 23 (Monday), according to the Philippine Airlines website.
  2. PR 432 Manila – Narita, Japan
    *Affected passengers will be accommodated on PR428/427 Manila-Narita-Manila Oct. 23 (Monday)
  3. PR 438 Manila – Nagoya, Japan
    *Affected passengers will be accommodated on replacement flight PR5438 Manila-Nagoya Oct. 23 (Monday)
  4. PR 896/897 Manila – Taipei, Taiwan – Manila
    *Affected passengers will be accommodated on PR896/897 Oct. 23 (Monday)

    5. PR410/409 Cebu-Kansai-Cebu
    *Affected passengers will be accommodated on PR5410/5409 Cebu-Kansai-Cebu Oct. 23 (Monday)

    6. PR480/479 Cebu-Nagoya-Cebu Oct. 22 (Sunday)
    *Affected passengers will be accommodated on next available Cebu-Nagoya-Cebu flights

    7. PR436 Cebu-Narita Oct. 22 (Sunday) and PR435 Narita-Cebu Oct. 23 (Monday)
    *Affected passengers will be accommodated on next available Cebu-Narita-Cebu flights

    8. PR424 Manila-Haneda Oct. 22 (Sunday) and PR423 Haneda-Manila Oct. 23 (Monday)
    *Affected passengers will be accommodated on PR424 Manila-Haneda Oct. 23 (Monday) and PR423 Haneda-Manila Oct. 24 (Tuesday)

  1. 5J 5038 Manila – Nagoya, Japan
  1. 5J 828/827 Manila – Kansai – Manila
