HAYWARD, California–The family of a Hayward father of two gunned down October 3 in the driveway of an apartment complex in this East Bay city is appealing to anyone who might have witnessed the shooting to provide information that would lead to the identification and arrest of the killer.
Hayward police report showed that officers responded to a phoned-in report of a gunfire in the 900 block of Forselles Way off Tyrell Avenue in south Hayward at around 8:45 p.m.
When police arrived, they found Terry Paiso, 24, face down and fighting for his life in an apartment complex’s driveway, with at least one gunshot wound in the upper torso. He was pronounced dead by paramedics just as soon as they arrived at the scene.
Angelica Paiso-Moore, a native of Lingayen, Pangasinan and mother of the victim, told FilAm Star the family could not believe that nobody in the area saw anything before, during, or after the shooting, as the initial investigation indicated.
“We know that somebody knows and has seen something but just doesn’t want to speak. Terry was not a stranger in the area …. people there knew him as a frequent visitor,” Angelica said to FilAm Star. “I am appealing to witnesses to help us seek justice for Terry. It can be an anonymous tip or whatever …. anything that will give a clue as to what happened and who did this to my son.”
Terry’s wife, Vianca Paiso, aired the same impassioned appeal, more so on behalf of her two very young daughters with the victim: Emma, who turns one year old this week, and Lily, barely a month old.
“My daughters are deprived of having to know and live with their dad so suddenly, and they were the ones whom Terry lived for,” said Vianca To FilAm Star. “He was always happy to be with his family. In fact, he was busy working very hard for our Emma’s first birthday.”
Angelica and Bianca alleged that police were not telling them anything, saying details of the case could not be released because it might jeopardize the investigation.
